Health & Safety
GENERAL COVID-19 POLICY
Pharmacy Theatre is joining other theatre companies in Central PA and across the nation in requiring that audiences provide proof of vaccination to attend all live public performances OR proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the performance start time.
We are committed to the safety of all who work, perform, volunteer, and visit our venue, and invite audiences to join in the effort to slow the spread of COVID-19. In addition to audiences, we have mandated COVID vaccinations for employees, contractors, musicians, and volunteers (i.e., performers, backstage crew, ushers, etc.).
To be permitted to enter our performance venue patrons must be able to show proof that they are fully vaccinated at the time of their entry into the theatre OR proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the performance start time. Children under 12 attending performances do not need to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 PCR test but must wear a mask that covers their nose and mouth while inside the building.
“Fully vaccinated” means that either 14 days have passed since receiving the second dose of FDA or WHO authorized double-dose vaccines or that 14 days have passed since receiving the sole dose of FDA or WHO authorized single-dose vaccines.
Patrons may display proof of vaccination with a physical or digital copy of their vaccination card. Proof of vaccination must come directly from the healthcare provider that performed the vaccination. Patrons also must present a government-issued photo ID such as a driver’s license or passport.
Patrons who are not vaccinated must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the performance start time. Proof of a negative COVID-19 antigen test taken within 6 hours of the performance start time is also acceptable.
Entry will be denied for guests who do not provide the documentation as required above.
This policy is in effect for performances now through December 31, 2021. For performances in January 2022 and beyond, we anticipate a review of policies in December and may include a relaxation of certain provisions or an extension of this policy as the science dictates.
Masks also will be required for audiences inside our performance venues, except while actively eating concessions or drinking. All masks must completely cover the nose and mouth and comply with the CDC guidelines for acceptable face coverings.
EMPLOYEE/VOLUNTEER/CONTRACTOR VACCINATION POLICY
To safeguard the health of our employees, volunteers, and their families, Pharmacy Theatre will be requiring all staff, contractors, musicians, and volunteers to be vaccinated against COVID-19. Those wishing to apply for an exemption due to a medical reason or because of a sincerely held religious belief should contact us at email@example.com.
