synthesizer awards

The Synthesizer Awards honors artists, community leaders, educators, organizations, and companies that have allowed us to better produce new theatrical pieces.

The 2023 Synthesizers are:

Amanda Eachaus

Amanda Eachus is the Public Services Manager at the Hershey Public Library, a frequent rehearsal location for Pharmacy Theatre. A native of Lower Allen Township, she earned her Master's of Library Science at Clarion University of Pennsylvania (now known as Pennsylvania West University). As the public services manager, she wears many hats but says it all boils down to helping people. That help ranges from loaning library materials to clearing paper jams in the printer to scheduling public meeting rooms. Amanda is always happy to promote the creation of art in the community by coordinating meeting spaces for rehearsals and performances. When she is not at the library, she can be found touring Longwood Gardens with her husband Thomas, or playing with her two irascible cats.

Jasmine Ammons Bucher
Jasmine Ammons Bucher is a vocalist, director, producer, and Hershey Area Playhouse board member. Bucher is an instructor and director of educational technology at Lebanon Valley College. She holds a BA in English and an MBA from Lebanon Valley College, as well as an MA in humanities from the Pennsylvania State University. She received an Honorable Mention for the 2018 Tony Award for Excellence in Theatre Education. This is her fourteenth year directing productions at Palmyra Area High School, where she is president of the Palmyra Theatre Boosters and troupe director for International Thespian Society Troupe #8430. She has participated in master classes with Broadway’s Jenn Collela, Lynn Ahrens, Stephen Flaherty, Tom Kitt, Lea Salonga, Morgan James, and Alex Newell.
